Summer

This summer I told my fiance that we are saving money for the wedding by cutting the cost of our entertainment!!! As you all know, people on average spend over $10,000 for their Big Day... and I am about to attempt that!!! Therefore, this summer everything will either be "Low Cost or NO Cost"!!!

Here are a few things that I've been doing to keep myself busy without spending, and yet have FUN!!!

1. Hang out at the Pool. If I feel the urge to shop or play... I tell myself to just sit by the pool or take a dip. So almost everyday I'm at the pool, or Hot tub, It works for me!

My legs are very tanned now, and I need to work on
my mid section... just a little sun kissed, not leather!!! LOL

2. Working Out. Instead of going out to eat or spending money, I go to the gym and work out, which makes me happy, and healthy!

haha... I was in the gym by myself, of course I wouldn't
have been able to do this with someone watching... LOL

3. Visit Family and Friends. The best thing to do... when you have nothing to do, is take a drive to your friends place or your second home I say, and Chill. Do nothing but watch the children run around and/or talk about the future and past... LOL...time flies.... My folks are 30 minutes driving distance, so this gives me a little sense of a getaway... haha..

During Sadie's Birthday, She was so scared of Tub... haha

4. Watch a movie at home. The last film that I saw in theaters was "Prince of Persia" when Tub and I went to the OC, and watched it with another friend couple of ours. Since then, It has been movies at home or online. Saves money!!!! Going out to the movies is NOT cheap anymore, a movie date night will cost $40!!!! YIKES!!!!

The living area, this is where I relax.

5. Stay active at church. Since school is over, and I'm more free on the weekends; I love it that I can hang out with my local church and enjoy activities with them. OHAY is always busy and keeping everyone accountable for their faith. Picnics, camping, gatherings, and more, Summer has just begun!!!

SO CAL in MAY

Being that Tub and I live so very far from each other, every time we get the chance to visit, we turn it into a mini vacation. This past year we were able to go down south to the LA area and visit Catalina Island, China Town, Vegas, Little Tokyo, Disney Land and much more.

With my graduation this spring, of course we were excited about planning another trip; right after Friday nights graduation, we packed our bags and changed the car oil, and barely slept for a few hours and woke up at 4 am to start our drive down South to LA!!! Once again we were off on our mini trip, too short and most of the time was spent driving, but I believed that we made it worth the while.

First we went to Santa Monica Pier, Long Beach, then to Huntington Beach. Plus, it was fun and different to have experienced Knott's Berry Farm Theme Park, oh and please check out Camp Snoopy, late at night when the lights come on you can purchase 3D glasses that make the lights very trippy!!! (we recommend them LOL)

So here are a few photos from our trip, too bad it was so short, but Tub's coming back in August, so we'll see what's in stored for then!!!

Wedding Planning

We've been engaged for five months and I am loving every moment of it. The only part I hate most, is the distance that stands between the two of us. Tub and I are tying the knot in May next year, and we're planning for the negotiation / engagement dinner in August. So far, things are going smoothly.

This past Sunday, I found my gown, and said yes to the dress, without the luck of my Michelle, I would have not been able to do so... thanks sister!!!! And the dress affair is another blog for another night!!! :)

If I must say, I do love planning, although most people dread it, but I really do like it! I like making the list and checking it twice, and scouting for ideas and booking the vendor. Honestly I do have a very fashionable and modern Fiance who has been very involved in most of the decision making. I know he's honest, we still have disagreements, but I could never have chosen the perfect person to plan the future with.

Below I have a picture of us at Sank Park, everyone gets married here at the garden, but you know every wedding is different. We hope that we can bring a little mix or elegance and pop to this beautiful place!!!
